As difficult as it may sound, there is nothing you will be able to do on your own to make your husband, partner or family member stop what they're doing and change their behaviour. They will have to decide to do that on their own, and seek the help they need for themselves. SAA is here for them if they choose to take that first step toward recovering from sexual addiction..
As a partner or family member you will need to look after your own needs, and find support to cope with the situation, whatever the outcome may be. Hopefully you will be able to locate a counselor, or support group in your area to assist you.
There is a support group for partners and family members of sex addicts/sexual compulsives called S-ANON. They have both a website where you can find information on their group and they also have a Toronto area phone line, where you can leave a message, and someone will return your call, and let you know the locations of S-ANON meetings in the Toronto area.
